Thurs ASE is a non-associative, alkali-soluble emulsion (ASE) thickener. When neutralized with a base, it swells and thickens the aqueous phase, effectively increasing low-shear (Brookfield) viscosity. It is ideal for creating shear-thinning rheology in latex coatings.
